Moving to Albany

We are back in Albany, NY after nearly a year in Asia. We just found a beautiful apartment in a great neighborhood. Some of our new neighbors happen to be refugees. Many of them are ethnic Karen from the Thailand-Burma border where we spent three months in the spring working on Unseen Mae La. Last weekend there was a wonderful article in the Times Union about the neighborhood and the refugees who live there.

tashi delek people, great job you did with the monks and tibetan people in dharmasala. Can you tell me more about it? I am considering going there next month or early october (is it too cold to go then?)Is there any way i can lend a hand? I teach English at home.

Tashi Delek Chris! Thanks so much for the kind words. We would love to tell you more about Dharamsala. The community center, LHA, where we did the project always needs English teachers. You can contact them through the website or just stop by the office once you get to Dharamsala. www.lhasocialwork.org
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Tashi delek Zoe & Justin! Also a returned D'sala volunteer; I loved the Tibetan youth photography blog and would like to get in touch and discuss a future project for the upcoming March 10th, 2009.
What is the best way to get in touch with you two?
Many thanks,
Lucy
